Morality in the Short Story of Istirahat by Ayu Febriana

Abstract

This research aims to describe and understand the Moral Message contained in the short story "Rest" by Ayu Febriana. The qualitative method is a research method used in this study using data collection techniques in the form of literature studies. In this study, the data was analyzed through two data collection techniques: reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate that the short story "Rest" by Ayu Febriana sends moral messages to readers, including messages about the importance of helping each other, respecting and respecting others, and the importance of collaborating to achieve positive solutions and better understanding. The results of the study lead to the conclusion that the short story "Rest" by Ayu Febriana positively conveys deep and meaningful moral messages. These messages teach readers moral principles and encourage them to understand and live values such as hard work, courage, respect for others, cooperation and tolerance. Therefore, this short story can be considered as a literary work that contains an important moral message, provides a deep understanding to readers, and inspires them to reflect on the lessons contained in it.
